Strawberry shortcake....

is so yummy!!! Grandma, Gabby and I went strawberry picking yesterday. We went early and got three big baskets full. The plants were high enough for Grandma to bend over and pick. She had fun. Gabby, I don't think did because she kept saying there were bugs everywhere. I don't think she will ever be a country girl.

She is trying to look like a glamour girl. She put these pictures on for me because I just got a new laptop and can't figure out how to save them to the computer. And she is such a brat she won't show me now because she is reading and I am bothering her she said.

Here is a picture of Gary's corvette he just picked up from Florida. He isn't keeping it, he's just going to sell it make money on it.

Here is Presley sun bathing. He just loves to go outside and lay there.

I forgot to show you what else I got. It is an AeroGarden for the countertop. We are growing herbs right now. The first picture is when we first got it and then 3 weeks after they started to grow. WOW!! They just grow from the water and light. It is so cool. The only herb that didn't take was the Cilantro. I'll have to call and see if I can get a replacement for it.

Well that's all for now....going back to surfing the web on my new laptop...

It's been so long....

since I have written on my blog. Shame on me, but life just seems to take over and no time for computer.

Spring break has come and gone. Gabby and I drove to Florida (long drive). We visited with Trisha and Tom. And then saw some friends. Was so glad to come back to South Carolina that we now call home. I love it so much here. Then a week after we got back home Gary went to Florida on business. That week was hectic because I worked at the yarn shop the day he left and a few days after. I love working there, wish I could work there everyday. Made this cute crocheted baby dress for display for the yarn shop. It came out so cute. I still have to put the ribbon in and sew the flower on. Then look, I started to make the same dress in miniature for a bear I made.

You have to check out Trisha's blog (http://littlelovethings.blogspot.com/) my oldest daughter's blog. She put some really "old" pictures there of our first Thanksgiving in our house on St. Pete Beach. That was 27 years ago. Wow time flys when you are having fun. And I can not believe that Heather and Bill are going to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary this month.

That year went really fast. They are now in Idaho dealing with weird weather. Snow one day then in the 70-80's the next. That's worst then Florida's weather ever was. My Florida girl is probably freezing her butt off. They're so cute together. Now if they would only give me a grandchild, I'd be a happy little camper.

I've been busy learning to knit socks with the magic loop technique and from the toe up. Look how much I have done. Then look at what I bought online. It's a keychain that holds a miniature sock. I got them from www.knitcellaneous.com, I can't wait to make a mini sock for it.

More to come......

New members of our family...

Meet "Razor and Ribby". Heather and Bill's new puppies. Aren't they cute? They are Lab-a-doodles. And they are brother and sister, can you believe that. They are on their way to their new home in Idaho. They stopped Friday for the night to say good-bye. Now they are on the long trip across the country to their new home for three years or so.(boohoo, now I have to get on a stupid plane to go see them) Heather and Bill actually bought them from a breeder in Idaho and had them shipped to NC before they left because they won't be getting to Idaho until the middle of March and they didn't want to wait until then to get their new puppies. Makes me want another dog since I can't get any grandbabies yet.

Well my garden has b
een started. Look at all the little plants that are starting to grow.
I have them sitting in a sunny window upstairs in my sewing room. I think I put too many seeds in one planting pod so I have to separate them but I'm not too sure when to do that since I am new to this gardening thing. We still have to get the fencing for the garden and then as soon as the last frost comes I should be planting outside. I can't wait. Even had Grandma out there last Sunday with a shovel. She loved it. (I have a picture of her there but it's on Gabby's camera so I'll post it later).
We are just sitting around today. It's very cold out today, in the 20's. But at least the wind died down. Yesterday it was like a hurricane out there. Gabby is resting today. She just got back from her 8th grade field trip to Washington, DC. She didn't get much sleep, but she did have fun.
Well that's all for now, going to go make some dill dip for snacking on. Til later!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!!!

Look what I got for Valentine's Day. It's a beautiful heart shaped ring with diamonds. I was a little shocked. I was hoping for resistant bands to work out with. I have the best sweetie. I can't believe that this will be our 30th Valentine's Day we have been together. It was 30th years yesterday that I have been living with Gary. We will be married 28 years this May 18th. Wow how time flys. But my poor sweetie is sick with a terrible cold, so I won't be able to give him his present. haha!!! My daughter's are probably going "eewww, mom and dad, yuck".

The flowers are a little rose plant that my sister sent my mom. Their so pretty.

Not much happing here. Have been trying to get my garden beds going, until Gary got sick this week. Plus today it is freezing out there. I actually had ice on my windshield this morning. I'll post a picture of that later when I am done with it. I have already order all my seeds. I can't wait to plant them.

Next week my son-in-law, Capt. Bill (that is still so weird to say or write) is graduating from learning to fly the F-15 Eagle. We are going to the airforce base in North Carolina,Thursday, to celebrate with them. It should be pretty exciting. Probably a lot of crying will be going on. Then they are off to Idaho, boohoo, so far away.

Until next time, I hope cupid shoots you all with a loving arrow.

Houston we have SNOW.....

OMG....it snowed last night....it was so cool. Here's pictures of Gabby and me last night. Gabby's mad because she doesn't have school today. She is such a weird kid. She is the only kid I know who is mad about missing school. She sure doesn't take after her siblings. We only got about an inch or two but it was fun. It is still on the ground right now but it started raining and it's getting slushy. Poor Gary is down in Florida and didn't get to see it.

The picture of Gabby making a snow angel on the deck is such a hoot. She was freezing afterwards. We even had a snow ball fight. And Gabby made snow cream to eat. She tried to go out this morning and make a snowman but it was too slushy.

I love white green acreas!!!!

Did you know...

that Audrey Hepburn had a Yorkied too. Gabby found another Audrey picture at Target today. Then when we went to Publix's she found this magazine that was all about Audrey Hepburn. The weirdest thing I think is that Audrey died the year Gabby was born, and that Gabby is obsessed with her. I told Gabby all she needs now is a little black dress.

But we have the cutest Yorkie ever. He loves the sun, especially when we open the front door and he either lays right by it or on the stairs. Or in his bed in Gabby's room.

Gary left for Florida today for a few weeks. He has things to change with the business. Yikes!! Anyway he left at 10:15 and didn't call until 12:45 saying that his flight just landed. He was suppose to get in at 11:30 but I guess there was bad weather and they had to circle over Tallahassee for a long time and then the pilot said if they didn't land soon they might have to land in Orlando because they were running out of fuel. Gary's said his stomach was doing alot of jumping around like the plane was. We took this picture this morning of us and put in his luggage. Won't he be surprised.
And gotta love going to the airport because then we can get Starbuck's. Yummy, love their pound cake. Hopefully one will come to Anderson soon. And an Enstein Bagel, Chipotle would be nice.

Weather has been pretty nice this past week. Just starting to get a little cooler today. But here is a picture of our birdbath when the weather was freezing. It has Gary kind of curious as to how the water froze like it did. How did it form an icicle? Baffling to us since there is no pump in it.

Well hope everyone's New Year is starting off great. I worked all last week at the yarn shop while the owner, Margaret went to her first trade show in California. Hope she found some neat stuff for the shop. It was so much fun, but I am tired now, not use to working until 5:30. Haven't done that since I worked at the bank. And then having to drive home in the dark here. My eye's aren't that good anymore. It's a bitch getting older.

Missing everyone who is not up here terribly. Especially my girls. Darn Heather's wedding song. Get's me crying everytime I hear it. I now have it on my new cell phone as her ring. Did I tell you that they are moving to Idaho. Home of the potato. That's going to be a long drive. Or a lot of alcohol before I get on a plane. haha

Well...till next time... don't forget to live, love and laugh everyday. (OMG, Target has the cutest frames with this saying on it, almost got them today, but they didn't have all the same color in all three frames, maybe they will get more, I hope, I want the brown ones)
